Poppy’s Page

At Wendy, just to the right of the entrance gate, near archery stands an oak tree. A big tree, an old tree – one that was old when camp started here almost a century ago. At first it was the Brownie Tree, as it would take eight Brownie Girl Scouts, arms outstretched to reach around it. Later, Poppy, our resident fairy arrived. Homesick Campers could write Poppy, or sometimes she wrote when a youth just needed her.

Today, you can share Poems, Art and Stories of camp and Poppy, here on her page email stories@friendsofwendy.org. You can email her too – PoppyFairyAtWendy@gmail.com. She sometimes takes a while to respond, as the keyboard is so large and she is so very small.
