    Archery at Wendy

    Over the last three weekends, volunteers have run four sold out events. This contradicts the assumption that the GSHH Board has made about how Wendy is under utilized. Our girls in Ulster, Dutchess, Sullivan and Orange County need this space. Today, despite the weather and temperatures we had so much fun with archery and booked up all the available time slots!

    Princess Pine, Rare & Vulnerable Native Plant

    The Princess Pine, also known as clubmoss or ground pine, found in the climax forest of the Romany unit of Camp Wendy, is a protected plant in New York State. It may not yet be endangered, but it is still at risk. This tiny pine, slowly growing only six inches tall, is native to New York State and the Northeastern USA and Canada. It’s just one of the many special plants that can be found at Wendy and my personal favorite.
